Martin Freeman is best known to audiences for playing the central character of Arthur Dent in Disney's successful "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" and as Tim in the runaway hit BBC comedy series "The Office." Television credits also include "Charles II" and "The Robinsons" for BBC and "Hardware" and “Boy Meets Girl” for ITV.
Other film credits are “Ali G Indahouse”, “Love Actually” (both for Working Title), “Confetti” for Wasted Talent, Anthony Minghella's "Breaking and Entering”, Jake Paltrow's "The Good Night" (with Gwyneth Paltrow, Penelope Cruz and Simon Pegg) first screened at Sundance Film Festival; “Dedication”, a New York independent film for Plum Pictures – jointly acquired by First Look Studios and The Weinstein Company; Peter Greenaway's “Nightwatching”, in which Martin plays the leading role of Rembrandt, Debbie Isitt's new film “Nativity” for Mirrorball Films and British independent, “Wild Target”, for Magic Light Productions.
Martin has enjoyed a high profile theatre career, including work with Kathy Burke at the Royal Court, the sell-out run of a new play, "Blue Eyes & Heels" at Soho Theatre and the highly acclaimed “The Exonerated” at the Riverside Studios.
Martin is currently shooting a series, for Hartswood Films/BBC.
